  • Diet and Exercise - How to utilize proven weight loss and exercise techniques to reach your goals.  Dieting will be covered and will touch on why quick diets fail.  You will learn how to count calories and determine how many calories should make up your daily intake of food.  Also, we will discuss some easy ways to incorporate exercise into your daily activities.  At the conclusion of this discussion, you will better understand how to reach your goals for proper weight management.


  • Osteoporosis - Osteoporosis, the excessive loss of calcium and matrix from bone is a common problem as aging occurs.  The reasons osteoporosis occurs and how it can be diagnosed will be discussed.  Also, we will cover the reasons more women than men are affected by this disease.  At the conclusion of this discussion, you will better understand the current concepts for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis with the use of medication, diet and exercise.


  • Weekend Warrior Seminar - This course is for those of you who engage in the occasional weekend sports activity and then pay for it at work the next week.  Many people like to get out for the occasional touch football game or head out for a long hike without properly preparing their body for these activities.  In this discussion, we will cover basic concepts of stretching, warm-ups, cool-downs, conditioning and most importantly injury management for those aches and pains that always follow on Monday morning.


  • Men's Health Issues: Prostate and Colon Cancer - Prostate and Colon Cancer are two of the most troubling health problems facing men today.  We will discuss the warning signs and predisposing factors for Prostate and Colon Cancer.  Current treatments will be discussed along with the current prognosis associated with both.  By the end of this discussion you will have a better understanding of the general issues associated with both Prostate and Colon Cancer.


  • Diabetes: Risk Management - Diabetes is a disease that is becoming more and more common, now with over 16 million Americans affected.  We will discuss the different types of Diabetes and the warning signs for each.  This disease has many risk factors that will be revealed, some of which can be reduced by making some simple lifestyle adjustments.  Additionally, by the conclusion of this course, you will have a better understanding of how Diabetes can be diagnosed and managed through medical intervention.


  • Arthritis - The term Arthritis brings many people to think of an older relative that suffers in certain weather conditions and has difficulty getting around.  However, Arthritis affects people of all ages with many different symptoms and prognoses.  We sill discuss some of the different types of Arthritis and the reasons so many people are affected.  You will gain a better understanding of the symptoms, ways to prevent Arthritis and current medical treatments.
